HOW TO JOIN NTWAB

Approximately 200 members strong, the NTWAB is the largest professional journalistic organization in horse racing. Membership is open to professionals who regularly cover Thoroughbred racing as a writer or broadcaster.

Annual dues are a nominal amount.

Prospective members must submit a letter outlining their qualifications (including affiliation, years with affiliation, and years covering racing), in addition to two letters of support from current NTWAB members in good standing. Samples of the applicant’s work are helpful as well. Please email application letter, examples of work, and letters of recommendation from two members in good standing to NTWAB Secretary Jennifer Kelly at thesirbarton@gmail.com.

New members are considered twice annually, with opportunities at our meetings prior to the Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Please submit your application for membership well in advance of either of these events.
